No. It’s not what you think. My song isn’t featured in the the movie, Twilight… not yet, at least. But, I wanted to share with you guys one more example of why it’s a beautiful time to be a recording artist in the music industry. Yeah, you heard me right. It’s a BEAUTIFUL time.
Forget about all those people you hear saying that it’s the death of the music industry and illegal downloads are killing music. Well, they’re losers. Instead of whining… adapt, and make the industry better than it was before. Anyway, I’m wandering off down a long and dark road.
Back to the point…
I noticed that my myspace and website traffic had increased a bit in the past few days. With a little research, I came across this video on Youtube. (see below) Well, it turns out that the person who posted the video tried to use one of the songs from the move, and all knowing and all powerful record company muted the video. Then, for some reason or another, the video poster chose my song, “Again,” as a replacement.
The video has been viewed 350,000 times at this writing, and has been, honestly, just as big as a TV placement for me exposure-wise. That couldn’t have happened 10, 5, 3 years ago.
And, that’s why it’s a beautiful time to be an artist. We don’t need the record label to tell us about new music anymore. We can tell each other.

i have to say that you’re really good, every single piece of this song is so perfect!
i wish i could find a place to download it for free, and it drives me crazy that i can’t listen to it all the time, because i don’t have the song.

So this is probably now one of my favorite songs. Its such a beautiful song.. and I fell completely in love with it the first time I heard it. I am so glad I did find this on youtube. and after searching for the lyrics got those too. Amzing song. So completely in love with it. xo <3

So there I was, pissed off because my video had been muted, I didn´t know what to do so YouTube told me I could choose between some songs as long as the author didn´t bother. I started looking for a nice song that could suit my video and mostly the theme (Bella & Edward romance etc.) and I found Again by Secret in Stereo; I don´t know why but I clicked on it and listened.
I couldn´t believe it, it was right, it was nice…it was perfect.
The lyrics, the song, the voice, it had everything, and the Twilight fans are quite difficult to impress, so I chose it, I loved the song so much…
After a few hours, people started asking which song was the one I used for the video, who was singing, where could they get it! and by the time it was 273,000 views, now it has more than 450,000 views and counting!
Now I had to write down in the Info box about the song, about Secrets in Stereo…I even had to write the info in a little box that appears right in the beginning of the video! LOL Now I receive hundreds of mails asking about it…
Thank you SO MUCH Secrets in Stereo for letting me use your song and for posting my video here; you guys are GREAT! Your music is awesome! Keep up the good work and never stop dreaming! your pursuit of happiness and your record deal will arrive; it´s only matter of time! you´ll see!

Hey! I love your song featured in the Twilight soundtrack! I can´t stop listening to it! I found about you because of the video! now I´m a huge fan! but please please you should write a song for the New Moon movie coming on November 2009! (New Moon is Twilight´s second part ) it would be great listening the soundtrack with you in there! you should write a song about how Edward felt when he leaves Bella, or how Bella felt when Edward left her or when they are together AGAIN!
